MUD MOBILE DELIVERY DETAILS!

Dear Local Clay Customers:
We finally have the details of our MUD Mobile Delivery Service ironed out. We apologize for the wait, we have had to jump some bureaucratic hoops to get a D.O.T. number and physicals and whatnot, but we are ready to roll. Here is the run-down:

Mudworks already offers excellent freight rates for shipping clay and raw materials in bulk weights over 1000#. Our commercial freight shippers do an excellent job and their pricing is impossible to beat for bulk orders. However, for a large number of our customers who order in lesser quantities (1000# and under) and are unable to pickup at our store in Lexington, shipping rates for clay and bagged raw materials is simply getting to be outrageous. We have designed our MUD Mobile delivery service to help fill that gap and provide even better service locally for our customers' clay needs.
Our parameters may seem detailed at first, but we wanted to cover all the bases and make it as clear as possible for everyone.

 

You may add assorted small items to your order and have them delivered as well!
PLEASE CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE SHIPPING METHOD FOR YOUR ORDER IN THE CART OF OUR ONLINE STORE.
Our delivery service is not designed to replace UPS or FedEx for daily or urgent orders, nor are we able drive all over KY and still keep our costs down and therefore customer costs down. As our service evolves, and demand grows, we will re-evaluate our routes. We also appreciate suggestions. With this service, we are NOT employing an extra person to do our deliveries, a Mudworks staffer will be the driver working a 7:30am-3:00pm shift and must complete all deliveries in that day. We will not be making appointments or requiring you to be at home for delivery (exceptions include delivery of all equipment--such items must be signed for). We will deposit your order under cover or the most convenient place for our driver outside not in plain view, take a digital photo of it and email it to you. *This will serve as a "shipper release" type of situation similar to when the UPS driver just leaves your packages on your porch. E! ach box will be numbered and appear in the photo as evidence of full delivery. This is the only efficient way, therefore keeping costs down for everyone.
THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO INSIDE RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY, BASEMENT DELIVERY, OR THE LIKE.

At the end of August, when school is in session we will begin making weekly deliveries as demand grows.
